With the intensity of its twin-turbo engine and exceptional towing power, Tundra’s ready to work hard and play even harder.
Features may include:
PerformanceMore gears. More control. More torque. Tundra’s 10-speed automatic transmission helps you harness more power when climbing a muddy hill, towing a trailer, or cruising on the freeway.
Tundra’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid electric motor uses its Power Control Unit (PCU) to deliver incredible performance and enhanced battery durability. This advanced system fills in the gaps of the torque curve to make it as high and as flat as possible—delivering instant torque and a thrilling drive. And all this potential power is stored in a tried-and-true 288V sealed Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery pack that sits strategically under the rear passenger seats.
Its powertrain, frame and suspension work together to give Tundra an available max towing capacity of up to 12,000 lbs. Whether you’re towing your trailer for a weekend getaway or taking the ATVs out for a spin in the desert, Tundra helps you haul with confidence.
CapabilityAvailable on 4x4 TRD Pro and TRD Off-Road Packages, Tundra’s next-generation Crawl Control (CRAWL) * system helps you smoothly and quietly take on tough terrain. With the simple press of a button, this advanced system automatically modulates the throttle and brakes on five low-speed settings, so you can keep your focus on navigating across difficult terrain.
When you’re in the thick of it, this available system helps regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. In 4x4 low and high range, a quick turn of the dial toggles between terrain modes: Mud, Sand, Rock, Mogul (i-FORCE only) or Auto (i-FORCE MAX only).
Tundra’s available electronically locking rear differential for TRD Pro and 4x4 TRD Off-Road Packages evenly distributes engine power to both rear wheels. Once the system is engaged, both rear wheels move at the same speed and provide more grip in low-traction conditions.
TechnologyGet a better view of what’s around you on Tundra’s impressive available 14-in. audio multimedia touchscreen. Synced up to multiple cameras placed on the front, rear and sides of Tundra, the large interactive display lets you choose different views. And with the available Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) activated, you can check your immediate surroundings for obstacles as you take on tricky terrain.
Tundra’s available Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) uses cameras on the front, sides and rear of the truck to give you a 360-degree view of what’s going on outside.
Quickly see all the information you need inside Tundra’s gauge cluster. The available 12.3-in. full-color MID gives you access to safety and convenience features, navigation, audio controls, off-road features, towing functions and more, while helping you keep focused on the road ahead.
